How we monitor the health of our waters

GAC have been part of the Anglers Monitoring initiative and have been carrying out invertebrate sampling or “kick testing” since 2009. This short video illustrates what’s involved. We are looking for volunteers to help with the monthly rota which runs from April to September and takes around 3 hours in total.
